National Association of Junior Auxiliary Graduate Scholarship Program

Awarded each April with potential for renewal. Applicant must be planning to work DIRECTLY with children pursuing graduate level studies, a US Citizen and permanent resident of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee or Texas.

Arkansas Health Education Grant

Awarded to residents of Arkansas attending certain out-of-state accredited health and medical professional schools for graduate or professional programs unavailable in Arkansas (chiropractic medicine, dentistry, optometry, osteopathic medicine, podiatric medicine, and veterinary medicine). The school must offer a full-time course of instruction in at least 1 eligible profession, grants a degree acceptable to the applicable licensing board as the sole requirement, or as one requirement, is party to a currently effective written agreement between the institution and the Board of Control for Southern Regional Education or the AD.

Arkansas Public Health Association Scholarship

$1000 Award. Applicants must be an Arkansas resident, enrolled or have plans to enroll in a field of public health, currently classified as at least a sophomore in college, university or approved technical college. Student must have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, demonstrate financial need.

Jim Pruden Memorial Scholarship in Respiratory Care

$1500 annually distributed over 3 regular semesters. Continued eligibility subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria: Applicant must be accepted into the UACCH Respiratory Care Program, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, submit two letters of recommendation (1 from an instructor, other from personal or professional reference).

Alna R. Watkins Endowed Scholarship

Fall-spring scholarship and the stipend for each semester ranges from $250-500. Applicant must be accepted into the UACCH class of the ARNEC ( Arkansas Rural Nursing Education Consortium) PN to RN program, currently work in the health care industry, submit a recommendation from current employer along with application. Preference will be given to current employees of Hillcrest Care and Rehabilitation Center.
