Awards up to $8,000 with potential to renew. Designed for students who come from financially and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds. Preference given to recent immigrants and students of color. Students should be planning to pursue advanced education in the social sciences, human services, health-related or public service fields. Enrollment in specific Bay Area public universities required.

MGMA Western Section Scholarships

Applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management including public health, business admin., healthcare admin and other related areas. NOT intended to support medicine, physical therapy nursing or other clinically related professional degrees. Applicant must be a current member of MGMA and reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming

$500 award to Sonoma County residents enrolled in a Sonoma County college/vocational school students enrolled with a 6 unit minimum, GPA of 2.5 or greater. Preference to bicultural students who demonstrated interest in health field.

California Health Professions Education Foundation Allied Healthcare Scholarship

Eligible students must be currently accepted or enrolled into specific allied health profession fields, be free from any other service obligation, have valid legal presence and ability to work and provide care in California, graduate after January 31, 2013, be willing to work in a medically underserved area for two years,.
