Susan Chilkott Memorial Healthcare Professionals’ Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Ashford, Brooklyn, Canterbury, Chaplin, Eastford, Killingly, Plainfield, Pomfret, Putnam, Sterling, Thompson, or Woodstock OR a family member of a Day Kimball Healthcare employee OR a Day Kimball Employee NOT eligible for tuition reimbursement. Must be a High School or Preparatory School graduate, accepted into an accredited program leading to one of these careers: Medical Technologist, Occupational Therapist, Pharmacist, Physical Therapist, Registered Dietician, Registered Nurse, Registered Nurse-Advanced Practice, Respiratory Therapist, Speech Pathologist. Student must submit completed application with required credentials by deadline, and appear for personal interview.

Bernard F. Smith Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a member in good standing of the Northeastern Connecticut Health Care Credit Union, Inc. Applicant must have a high school diploma, GED, or preparatory school diploma, accepted into an accredited program leading to a degree in the fields of health care or finance. Applicant may be required to appear before the Scholarship Committee for a personal interview.

Connecticut Nurses Foundation Continuity of Care Scholarship

Applicant must be currently employed as clinical staff: Home Health Aide, LPN, or RN in an agency providing home care and present evidence of completion of an educational program in healthcare.

Brother Frances Smith Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Connecticut, entering or studying in a Practical Nurse Education Program (LPN) accredited through the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. and the Connecticut State Board of Examiners or Nursing or plan on advancing. Accredited School of Nursing (Associate, Baccalaureate or Master Degree) or a program leading to a Doctorate in Nursing, who wish financial assistance for their education and demonstrate scholastic ability and professional promise are eligible to apply.

Polly Barey Scholarship

Eligible students must be residents of Connecticut, entering or studying in a NLNAC or AACN accredited School of Nursing who wish financial assistance and demonstrate scholastic ability and a professional promise. Excluded are relatives of and Trustees of the Connecticut Nurses’ Foundation.
