Kentucky Nursing Incentive Scholarship Fund

Provides scholarships to Kentucky residents who will be attending approved prelicensure nursing programs or graduate nursing programs. The award is $3000 per year. Applicant must be admitted to a nursing program completing core nursing courses (prerequisite classes are not funded). Preferences given to applicants with financial need, LPNs pursuing RN education, and RNs pursuing graduate nursing education. Students in prelicensure and BSN completion nursing programs must complete a minimum of 15 credit hours of published requirements for the nursing program per academic year for each $3000 NISF awarded. Graduate nursing students must complete 9 credit hours per academic years, which can be divided between fall, spring and summer sessions. Recipient must work full-time as a nurse in Kentucky for one year for each academic year funded. Work obligation begins after graduation from the program which you are funded. If recipient does not complete the nursing program within the time frame specified by the program, or does not complete required employment obligation, recipient will be required to repay any NISF monies awarded plus accrued interest.

Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center Scholarships in Health Care

Applicants must be high school seniors or college students from Boyle, Casey, Garrard, Lincoln, Mercer and Washington counties. Candidates must be in top 25% of their class, have a minimum ACT score of 21 or SAT of 1000, and be accepted at a regionally accredited school. College students must have completed undergrad educational requirement and be accepted into a professional health career program.
