Academic Competitiveness Grant

An Academic Competitiveness Grant will provide up to $750 for the first year of undergraduate study and up to $1,300 for the second year of undergraduate study to those full-time students who are eligible for a Federal Pell Grant and who have successfully completed their high school program, as determined by the state or local education agency and recognized by the Secretary of Education. Second year students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0. In order to determine if you eligible you must complete the FAFSA in addition to the Pell Grant award. Only students whose high school included 4 years of English, 3 years of Math, 3 years of Science, 3 years of Social Studies and 1 year of a foreign language can qualify for this scholarship.

Alaska Performance Scholarship

The Alaska Performance Scholarship offers Alaska public, private and home-school high school graduates the opportunity to earn scholarships to Alaska academic and career/technical postsecondary institutions. Those students considering applying must meet requirements in curriculum, grade point average, and assessments.

Gear Up Alaska Scholarship

Gear UP Alaska Scholarship provides $7,000 each year up to four years for Undergraduate Studies. Gear UP Scholarships are available for those persons who join or participate in the Gear UP programs in 6th, 7th and 8th grades and achieve the academic requirements established by their district.

Alaska Space Grant Program Fellowships

Alaska Space Grant Program or the ASGP is a participant in the National Space Grant College and the Fellowship Program invites applications from U.S citizens for Undergraduate Studies to apply for scholarships. These Stipends are offered to those students majoring in science, technology, engineering and mathematics field. ASGP fellowships are awarded through the variety of fellowship, scholarship and internship programs coordinated by the lead institution and the academic program.

Alaska American Legion Western District Scholarship

Alaska American Legion Western District Scholarship offers post-secondary to all graduating seniors in Alaska who meet their fixed criteria. Alaska American Legion Western District Scholarship is not based on exceptional grades or athletic abilities; this scholarship is designed for the person who wants to prepare themselves in the future. All post-secondary programs are acceptable including; college, university, vocational training, apprenticing, or any other program.
