Tennessee Hope Foster Child Tuition Grant

Tennessee Hope Foster Child Tuition Grant is allocated to one who was in the custody of Tennessee’s Department of Children’s services; Should be at least 1 year after reaching 14 years of age and be placed for adoption by the Department of children’s services or one of its adoption contract agencies.

Tennessee Grocers Education Foundation Scholarship Program

Tennessee Grocers Education Foundation Scholarship Program is awarded to those students, employees and children of employees of a Tennessee Grocers Association Member Firm. This scholarship is available as full time or part time and to employees who have been employed for at least 6 months by a TGCSA member firm as January 1st also for dependent children or spouses.

Tennessee Minority Teaching Fellows Program

The Minority Teaching Fellows Program is intended to encourage any talented minority of Tennesseans to enter the fields of teaching in Tennessee. This $5,000 annual award is $5,000 is granted to teachers who pursue a teaching certificate at any Tennessee institutions. Those students who receive the award are obligated to teach K-12 level in Tennessee in public school one year for each year the award is received.

Tennessee Ned McWherter Scholars Program

The Ned McWherter Scholars Program is intended to encourage the superior academic Tennessee high school graduates to attend college in Tennessee. Those that will be considered should be recent Tennessee highschool seniors starting their last semester in high school who have at least 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and scored a minimum composite score of 29 on the ACT or SAT equivalent may apply.

Tennessee Christa McAuliffe Scholarship

The Tennessee General Assembly created Tennessee Christa McAuliffe Scholarship program to honor the memory of Christa McAuliffe, who was a high school teacherand lost her life in the space shuttle Challenger. This scholarship was established to encourage the promising Tennesseans who have been committed to teaching and to inspire young minds to explore and achieve their highest potential.
