National Association of Junior Auxiliary Graduate Scholarship Program
Awarded each April with potential for renewal. Applicant must be planning to work DIRECTLY with children pursuing graduate level studies, a US Citizen and permanent resident of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee or Texas.
Martha Holley Memorial Nursing Scholarship
Available to graduates of any Elmore County high school who are pursuing a degree in nursing. Awards will be based on academic accomplishments, school/community involvement and financial need. Minimum GPA of 3.0, application, high school transcript, and essay outlining career goals are required.
United Daughters of the Confederacy Phoebe Pember Memorial
An applicant must be a lineal (direct) descendant of an eligible Confederate. Must be endorsed by the Chapter President and the Chapter Second Vice President, Division President and Division Second Vice President. The official UDC General Scholarship packet must be completed. Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 scale in high school or college. GED and recent SAT/ACT scores will be accepted if student is not a high school graduate. Application must attend college or university in the United States. Recipient must be enrolled in a school of nursing
Anita Howell Memorial Scholarship
For students enrolled in an approved operating room technician program and for junior and senior students enrolled in a nursing school in Alabama. Three references letters required (1 from instructors two from outside persons)
Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital Auxiliary
The Auxiliary may award up to $1500 annually in financial assistance to individuals who reside within the medical service area of the Tombigbee Healthcare Authority and who wish to pursue education in the field of healthcare, without regard to race, color, creed, or national origin. Applicant must prove residency in either Marengo, Sumter, Hale, Choctaw, Perry, Greene, or Clarke county. Applicant may reapply yearly.
