MGMA Midwest Section Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management including public health, business admin., healthcare admin and other related areas. NOT intended to support medicine, physical therapy nursing or other clinically related professional degrees. Applicant must reside in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota or Wisconsin.

Indiana Nursing Scholarship Fund Program

Eligible students must be admitted to an approved institution of higher learning as a full- or part-time nursing student. Be an Indiana resident and US citizen, agree, in writing to work as a nurse in an Indiana health care setting for at least the first two years following graduation, as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, providing direct patient care in the following locations: an acute care or specialty hospital; a long term care facility; a rehabilitation care facility; a home health care entity; a hospice program; a mental health facility; or a facility located in a shortage area. Candidate must demonstrate a financial need, have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, ore meet the minimum GPA requirements established for the college’s nursing program. Eligible students must not be in default on a state or federally sponsored student loan, complete and file FAFsA, meet all other minimum criteria established by SFA.

Indiana Association for Health Care Recruitment Scholarship

Applicant must be an Indiana resident currently enrolled and in good standing at an accredited Indiana school in one of these programs: Medical Imaging, Physical Therapy (Doctorate), Respiratory Therapy, Pharm D (Butler or Purdue), Registered Nursing (Undergraduate).

Helen Bastnagel and Thomas R. Miller Nursing Scholarship

Available to students with a GPA of 3.0 from Evansville and demonstrates a commitment to nursing

Melissa Faye Lawrence Endowed Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Available to bright and deserving female nursing students over the age of 25, with a ‘B’ GPA, entering senior year in nursing. Upon graduation must agree to work in Southwest Indiana for two years.
