Annie S. Alexander Memorial Scholarship
A non-renewable $1000 scholarship for students pursuing full-time undergraduate nursing degrees; preference is given to African-American students from Forsyth County. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate outstanding leadership, school service and community involvement. Student must demonstrate a financial need, but not restricted to lower incomes (merit will be considered to a greater degree).

Colon Furr Memorial Nursing Scholarship
Award $600. Any permanent legal resident who resided in North Carolina and has been accepted to or is enrolled in a 1 year licensed Practical Nurse program or who is enrolled in a 2, 3, or 4 year program that leads to certification as an RN. The school must be located in North Carolina. Student must receive endorsement from a North Carolina American Legion Post.
