The Alabama Student Assistance Program
The Alabama Student Assistance Program is a state-supported and federally-funded grant program which is designed to assist students in financial need. It is the state’s only need-based student aid program for Alabama residents attending post-secondary educational institutions in Alabama. Undergraduate Students may apply, all Alabama residents attending eligible Alabama Institutes and close to 80 Alabama Institutions participate. To participate you need to submit the Free Application for Student Aid Form. This form should filed early and can be acquired from your high school guidance office and or the academic institute you plan to attend.

Alabama Scholarship for Dependents of Blind Parents is intended for the residents of Alabama in which one of the heads of the family is blind and has low salary or an insufficient family budget
Academic & Leadership Trustee Scholarship
The Academic & Leadership Trustee Scholarships is to be considered to the academic, leadership and alumni assistance for which the students must meet the unconditional admission standard rate for 19 or Up ACT and 2.0 or better for GPA and you can apply for the admission. For those who entering for a freshmen they should have 21 or higher ACT and 3.0 or better GPA and they will see the scholarship range from $1,500 to $11,000 per year and it is renewable up to four academic years but they should maintain atleast 3.0 GPA.

Alabama National Guard Educational Assistance Program
This is a State program designed to provide financial assistance to Alabama National Guard members who reside in Alabama for undergraduates & graduates at post secondary institutions of higher education located within Alabama. The student may receive an equivalent to tuition, fees, books, supplie – not more than $500 / semester and $1,000 / year.

ACHE Police Officers and Firefighters Survivors Educational Assistance Program
This scholarship is intended for students who are dependents / spouses of police officers or firefighters killed while on duty in Alabama. To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at a public postsecondary academic institute in Alabama. Other eligibility criteria is involved. The award covers tuition, fees, books and supplies. There is no limit on the awarded amount. Application forms can be obtained from the Alabama Commission on Higher Education, P.O. Box 302000, Montgomery, AL 36130-2000.
